The heart of Chef Gio Catering operations is the Chef Gio Kitchen. Our motto is, “Not just great event food, great food, period!”  Chef Gio Catering’s standard for food quality is not that of even great event food, but rather great restaurant food.

To achieve this standard, we build on the essential foundation present in Chef Giovanni, that is, exceptional ability in the kitchen. Chef Gio’s abilities are not limited to being a master chef, he is also a natural-born leader with a cheerful, winning personality, and an excellent teacher. These personal attributes enable us to staff the Chef Gio Kitchen with dedicated culinary professionals, all working to achieve or exceed our motto and standard.

Our more than two decades of experience has taught us that great cooking is a blend of science and art.

The science aspects of great catering include our methods and processes for sourcing and purchasing food on a “just-in-time” basis, which enables us to create dishes the ingredients for which were purchased within twenty-four hours of our serving them. For our food to pass our internal quality control test requires a number of technical food preparation processes to be performed. These encompass a range of methods, tools and combinations of ingredients to improve the flavor and/or digestibility of food. The Chef Gio Kitchen is exacting in its selection, measurement and combining of ingredients, all in an ordered procedure to achieve the desired result. Turning to the “art” of cooking, while celebrating the innate gifts which truly outstanding chefs have, Chef Giovanni prioritizes transferring his special ways with food to all those who work alongside him. Needless to say, the Chef Gio Kitchen is always on the lookout for committed, talented culinary personnel to add to our kitchen staff.

While Chef Gio Catering has perfected the method for serving our Chef Gio Kitchen-prepared foods at events, maintaining our foods quality, one of our specialties is what we call, “Live Cooking,” meaning, on-site food preparation. Our Live Cooking methodology involves virtually moving all that we do and how we do it from the Chef Gio Kitchen to event venues equipped with the requisite facilities.
